About Us
A Bar N Ranch is owned and operated by Gregg Allen and Van Nichols. The Ranch began as a cow/calf operation in June 2005 to more effectively utilize land assets in north Texas. However, the objectives of the operation changed after the founders experienced their first Wagyu steak and learned of the benefits of the breed.

Since then, the A Bar N team has been focused on growing our herd and perfecting our beef on the 6,000 acres of rolling pasture in Sherman, Texas. We have worked extremely hard to achieve superior marbling by continually enhancing our genetics and feeding programs. In doing so, we have acquired the best Japanese and Angus genetics available, providing optimum marbling, tenderness, flavor and health benefits.

The way we see it, this herd is part of our family and so are our customers. It's our responsibility to make sure our cattle are getting only the best treatment - pasture raised, grain finished and never treated with growth hormones.

About A Bar N Ranch:
-- A Bar N Ranch is located in Sherman & Celina, Texas. Our land covers over 6,000 acres.
-- We sell American Wagyu — our full-blood Tajima (Japanese black) bulls are crossed with the best American Angus cows we can find. This results in highly marbled, tender, and flavorful beef.
-- Wagyu is healthier than other kinds of beef because it is intensely marbled with softer fat, it has higher percentages of monounsaturated fats, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, and is lower in cholesterol than commodity beef.
-- We track the Japanese genetics in every animal to ensure consistency.
-- Our livestock has a special-formulated, all-natural diet crafted by our in-house Nutritionist who has studied Japanese feeding practices since 1994.
-- We never feed our cattle antibiotics or hormones.
-- The animals utilized for beef production are born, grown, and fed in the state of Texas. The animals are 100% ours from start to finish.
-- We have one of the largest pure blood Wagyu herds in the state - approximately 200 head of 100% Wagyu cattle on our Celina ranch.
