About Us
We are the Harris family, Howard and Jennifer, along with our three children, have established Doble H Ranch with a clear mission: to produce exceptional, high-quality beef while restoring and enhancing the land through regenerative ranching and sustainable practices that improve soil, water, and wildlife habitat.
Howard is a practicing orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery and owns multiple small business ventures. Jennifer is a loving wife and mother to Walker, Hilton, and Halle. Walker and his wife Erica, both SMU alumni (Pony Up!) and CPAs, live in North Texas. Hilton played football and graduated from TCU and works in the medical device field. Halle attends TCU and is studying Speech-Language Pathology. We all cherish our time together at the ranch, where family, hard work, and land stewardship come together.

Welcome to Doble H Ranch, a proud family owned and operated ranch spanning over 1,500 acres in the heart of the Red River Post Oak Savannah region of northeast Texas.
The transitional landscape of gently rolling hills, native bunch grasses, scattered diverse hardwood forests, and rich potential for diverse wildlife is what drew us to this region. Its sandy loams, claypan soils, and average rainfall of over 45 inches create ideal conditions for thoughtful stewardship. As a first-generation operation, Doble H Ranch represents our fresh start and long-term commitment: building soil health, improving water resources, and creating thriving habitat for quail, turkey, duck, deer, pollinators, and more, all while raising cattle that reflect and improve the land's natural productivity.
Our daily work revolves around three core pillars:
Raising premium, nutrient-dense beef from cattle in a low-stress, grass-based system that emphasizes animal welfare, flavor, and quality from pasture to plate
Regenerating soil through intensive rotational grazing, cover crops, minimal disturbance, and biodiversity to build organic matter and resilience year after year
Enhancing water quality and wildlife habitat by protecting creeks and ponds, promoting native grasses and forbs, and fostering ecosystems where birds, game, and beneficial insects flourish alongside our livestock herd.
With every decision we ask: How can we leave the land healthier and more productive for our next generation? The answer drives our practices, and the results show in richer soils, clearer waters, abundant wildlife, and beef that's as flavorful as it is responsibly produced.
